I signed up for personal training and after two months I no longer wanted to do the personal training. my contract states that I must cancel 30 days prior in writing lol smh I emailed them one day late (on day 31) they refused to cancel and give me my money back so I called my credit card company who determined that I should get my money back so they gave it back to me but now Golds is coming after me saying I owe them that money even though I dint use any of those sessions. I was signed up over the phone and was told I had a period of time to cancel. I was given false information about what amenities were at the gym closest to me. Once I realized they didn't have these amenities, I called the person that signed me up to cancel, well within the period I was given. I left him multiple voicemails and multiple text messages and none of them were answered. I thought it was over until I realized 14 months later that they had continued billing me. I went to Gold’s Gym International (Montrose Crossing in Rockville, MD) to receive a personal trainer. I trained with the trainer for a month. The trainer quit. They didn’t replace the personal trainer which is a breach of their contract. In addition, I had to quit working out anyway due to a medical condition in which my doctor said I could not work out. According to the contract, I can cancel for medical reasons.
