Had issue back in august of 2018 of low upload speed on Microsoft xbox live 1.8 upload speed but I still have 324 download speed. I had numerous call outs and they blame xbox for the issue.. I got tired of calling them out to check my service, nothing comes of it except blaming xbox. I got another xbox and change their panoramic cable modem. Still same thing no upload speed and they say we don’t do gaming issues. Well last week Cox had maintenance work from 1am-6am. Low and behold I got my upload speed back running way it was before aug 2018. now I put out about $200/month in internet service for myself I have their extender upstairs neither would give upload speed or down load speeds wouldn’t connect. I called corporate office sent me to a complaint department said she would look into it investigate all my call ins and I had to call back myself and she saying same thing as local cox company don’t fix xbox issues but they advertise best streaming and gaming but for 11 months couldn’t do that. still blames xbox for their issue. Which give bad connection to servers and data packet loss. But they do maintenance and works like should but is xbox fault. But Cox says they have a Node issue in my area that’s been going on for 5yrs but no fix Also they keep advertising from 6 years ago that they were bringing in Gigablast fiber optics in our area but that just another misrepresentation to get customers to join. For instance when I went from low internet package to their ultimate cable and internet package the cox rep said the they would wave the install fee for fiber optics since I had been a loyal customer for all these years. They came out with gigablast which is coax 1000 download and 35 upload speed. Why buy that you couldn’t get no upload and on top of that they put a service out with no extenders to lease to back that up. This is how Cox Communication treats their so call LOYAL CUSTOMERS. All talk no action good job Cox.
