AT&T Wireless Complaint

On November 19, 2019, My wife and I purchased 2 new phones of approximately $850 in value, and began wireless service with AT&T.

I am a current member of the Army National Guard, as well as a licensed Peace Officer for the state of Minnesota so I was told the lines qualified for the First Responder discount.

I was quoted a price of $65.00 a month, taxes, insurance and additional fees included for my wife’s line. And $95.00 for my line, taxes, insurance, additional fees and 1 phone installment included.

I have since then been charged the following amounts for my wife’s phone:

Nov-Dec $176.00 ($30 activation fee included)

Dec-Jan $132.08

Jan-Feb $132.48

Feb-Mar $100.91

Mar-April $99.53

April-May $117.19

May-June $99.53

In all 7 bills I have been charged for installments on both phones, not recieving the BOGO offer quoted to me at time of purchase.

In 4 of 7 Bill’s I have not received a %25 discount for either Military or First Responder.

In 4 of 7 bills I have not received a $10.00 discount for paperless billing and autopay.

I have called customer service twice, speaking for over 4 hours, getting transferred and not receiving answers until I lose connection and do not receive a call back.

I have gone into an authorized AT&T store and spoken with representatives on

02/06/2019

03/08/2019

05/08/2019

Every visit I made, I was told that I am being overcharged, and that the bill should be approximately $65.00 – $68.00 for my wife’s line. I have been told that the issue will be fixed in 1-2 billing cycles.

The other line (my phone) has been charged appropriately at $95.00 the duration of the 7 months.

I have been wrongly charged over $300 by AT&T with no end in sight
