In 2018 I had comcast and had to move because I bought a house. I called comcast and tried getting my services transferred to my house but it could not be transferred because comcast didnt service that area. I was told that the cancellation fee will be waived because service couldn’t be transferred which I said ok. Then about 30 days later i got a $490.92 bill saying i owed comcast money with early termination fees on there so i called comcast again and the guy i spoke too said dont worry about the cancellation fee again just return the equipment. Today June 6, 2019 I got a letter from a debt collector and so I called comcast who said to me “oh well those charges are for services that you had up till June ” I told them that I called comcast in April to transfer, gave them the whole spill again and then the guy said to me “its comcast policy that when you sign a contract you have to carry out that full contract term”. I told him again that I didnt moved to an area with no comcast service how am I the one at fault for these charges when I tried to transfer those service”. The jack*** of a customer service agent then told me that i needed to reestablish services with comcast if i didnt want to pay that termination fee and so i said to him ” did you not hear me say that where I live is no comcast service here”. The smart a** CSR said well I am sorry but its comcast policy that you pay for the early termination.
